这个表达来源于一个叫做“Through the Looking Glass”的儿童故事，有一位“红皇后”说：“The rule is jam tomorrow and jam yesterday，but never jam today”，

意思是明天有果酱，昨天有果酱，但今天永远不会有果酱，

意味着你永远都无法享用到果酱。

因此，jam tomorrow意思是许诺但永不兑现的东西，可望而不可及的事物。

比如

They refused to settle for a promise of jam tomorrow.

他们并不满足于那些美好未来的空话。

03.“like there&39;s no tomorrow”是什么意思？

“like there&39;s no tomorrow”

字面意思是：好像没有明天一样

不为未来考虑， 毫不节制

今朝有酒今朝醉

比如

She spends money like there’s no tomorrow.

她毫无节制的花钱
